Adoptable PIPs

They have lots of love to give

PIP PIP Hooray – you want to adopt

We are so glad you stopped by. PIPs’ adoption process is thorough but fair. We want to ensure all of our dogs go to homes that will be perfect for them as well as finding the perfect match for you. All dogs are fostered in homes by volunteers; they can assess the dog in a home environment, start training, and socializing your future pet. The foster family will have a better idea of what their foster dog’s perfect furever home should look like.
All PIPs get age appropriate vaccines, preventatives, microchip and are spayed/neutered at a proper age.

PIPs key focus is dogs with special needs (who we call Pip-abled) or higher medical needs , however, we have many non-PIP-abled dogs too!

We made it easy to decipher PIP-abled verses non-PIP-able; simply look at each dogs picture and bio.

READ THROUGH  ADOPTION FAQ BEFORE SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION

Before submitting anapplication:

  • Please note there is a $25 application fee. This fee comes off of the adoption fee if the adoption is completed. This fee is non-refundable.
  • If you are denied, this fee is non-refundable.
  • If your application is approved, but you are not able to adopt the dog you applied for, we will keep your application on file for 9-12 months (depending on how many changes since your last application has happened in your life, please email us to determine if you need a new application)
  • If you have filled out the  application in the past, no need to fill out another. Please email adoptions: adoptapip@pipsrescue.org
  • Once your application has been approved, we will send it over to the foster parent for review to determine if your home is a good match for the dog.
  • In the event one lucky dog receives multiple applications, please know we do not select based on a first come basis. We try our best to select the best fit for our animals and families.
  • While you may not get chosen for a certain dog, our adoptions team will help match you with a dog.

During the adoption application process we do check the following:

  • Non-related personal References.
  • Vet check to check your past and present animals are kept up to date on vaccines, heartworm and flea and tick prevention, and are spayed/neutered at an age-appropriate time.
  • Landlord/property check to be sure you can have a dog and there are no breed or weight restrictions.

Our adoption counselors are 100%  volunteers and  work diligently to do what is best for our fosters. Disrespectful behaviors will not be tolerated.

These are some of the reasons your application could be denied with PIPs.

Submitting this application does not mean you are committing to a dog, nor does it guarantee you will get that dog.  It is simply a tool we use to help identify a  potential match for your family and lifestyle.
