What folks are saying about us…..

Dogs have a way of finding the people who need them, and filling an emptiness we didn’t ever know we had

Ryan G

“My wife and I own an older 12-year-old rescue and a very high-energy working dog (Belgian Malinois). Out of fairness to them, we have unfortunately not had the time/capacity to foster or adopt an animal from PIPs that we could give the attention they deserve. However, we are adamant supporters and have seen the hard work these folks do for animals who are hard-to-adopt and less fortunate. We donate 1% of my company’s profits each year to a non-profit animal organization and trust me when I say we do our homework before making a decision each year. PIPs was a no-brained this year and we both plan to get more involved in the future if we can help volunteer in some way. Thank you for all that you do at Perfectly Imperfect Pups!”

“I have always been in awe of how compassionate she is for the hard cases, the pups that most people would not give a second look at the shelter. Not only does she immediately gravitate towards them and put in a plan to get them healthy and happy, but she knows how to do it. She has so much knowledge about all kinds of special cases and doesn’t shy away. She also has an amazing support system. The vets that she works with are top of the line. Since moving out of state, I have not found another vet that I appreciated more than the one Venus (my rescue pup) started with while I’m the foster. Even out of state, I still pick NC foster, rescue groups as my favorite charities to support. If you have ever considered fostering, do it. If you’re looking for someone to Foster with, pick PIPs, and Nicole. You won’t regret it.”

“God bless this team for working hard to save every dog they can, keep up the wonderful work for these special pups!”

Kathryn B.

“After working with many rescues, I cannot tell you how much I love fostering and volunteering for PIPs. Nicole has the biggest heart and works so hard for each dog! Our family loves supporting this amazing rescue!”

Sylvie P.

“They work hard to help as many homeless and medical-issue dogs as possible in a responsible manner.”

Robyn B.

“I have fostered twice for PIPs. One puppy with a broken leg, who found his forever home knowing basic commands, and currently fostering a senior, neglect case. I was notified by Nicole that the senior most likely would be long term and hospice. The rescue has a great support system and has always been very responsive with any questions or needs I have had. My own personal rescue and I have been through training from beginning all the way up to being Canine Good Citizen Certified.”

Heather P.

My personal experience as someone who has actual experience with this rescue:

I have worked with the founder of PIPs for many years and this started when she was in leadership at a previous rescue. I chose to support and follow her as she founded PIPs. I did this for two reasons 1) the openness and transparency she wanted her rescue to have and 2) because of her compassion and desire to give every thrown away dog a chance for a fresh start. Even the extremely difficult ones.

PIPs is truly a professional and compassionate organization. And I so proud to be a foster/volunteer for them. I highly recommend, if you are interested in or just think that you might be interested in fostering a dog in need, reach out.”

Jim G.

“Everyone we spoke with was great. These people are so cool, sweet, and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to make sure we found a perfect match. We could not be happier to support PIPs.”

Melinda M.

“PIPs is a wonderful rescue dedicated to saving lives. They pull from our facility regularly and do a wonderful job finding forever homes for puppies/dogs in their rescue! SCHS appreciates Nicole and PIPs rescue”

Jamie M.

Wonderful rescue who takes in those that most would overlook because of their “imperfections” and gives them a chance!”

Jamie S.

“I first met Nicole in 2018 when she was coordinating efforts to move dogs inland from flooded coastal country shelters during Hurricane Florence. I have been following her rescue efforts ever since. She pours her heart, soul, and time into rescue and has saved countless lives. Rescue is not always rainbow and butterflies, but Nicole is dedicated and will always do right by the dogs in her program whether it’s providing a safe home environment, medical care, quality nutrition, training and sometimes having to make super tough decisions that are in the best interest of the dog and the community. That is a true rescuer.

Aby K.

“Nicole & her team are wonderful. They love all animals and fight for all dogs. Careful consideration when faced with difficult decisions. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to foster and/or adopt!!”

Elisabeth M.

Great rescue and caring volunteers.

PIPs is a wonderful organization that truly cares about the welfare of the animals and families it serves! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to expand their family.

“Amazing rescue! We rescued our two babies from Nicole, and she goes above and beyond to care for each pup!! I highly recommend PIPs.”

Jess H.

“Expertly ran by people with huge hearts. Love being associated with this rescue and their procedures. They jump at any opportunity to help a pup in need, no matter the expense. Thanks for all you do, and I’ll always support you guys!!”

Gin B.

“Nicole is the hardest working; most devoted rescue advocate I have ever known. She works tirelessly to champion for dogs who most would write off. A good look through her story and you will see countless horrifically sick or neglected animals being rehabilitated by her personally, as well as her team. 100% trust and recommend PIPs.

Jane M.

Nicole is absolutely amazing, and she brings that same energy to rescue. I have adopted a dog from a rescue Nicole was involved with prior to starting PIPs and I can tell you firsthand the level of care and dedication given to every animal that comes through the door. The fact that she focused her attention on helping animals with different needs is a testament to her mission that every animal deserves a chance. I HIGHLY recommend PIPs.

Cindy L.

As someone who has worked with the director and founder of this rescue for over five years, I wish I had 100 rescues exactly like her. She is one of the most responsible caring dedicated rescue partners who will spare no expense to save a dog’s life when that said dog is not a danger to himself and society. She does not make quick decisions and exhausts all options as she did with McGraw.

Stormi M.

“Great organization powered by passion & love for these fur butts!

Courtney M.

“So glad that there are rescues like this that take dogs with special needs! Dogs with different abilities deserve homes, too! Thank you for helping these sweet pups!”

Tracey C.

“Amazing rescue group who shows love and compassion for every animal they rescue!”

Julie G.

“Nicole Kincaid and PIPs rescue have done an amazing job saving adoptable dogs across NC and finding good homes. Highly recommend.”
